    Good for you Ridgeline. Keep the old tech alive.

    I grew up with tube radios in the home and remember going to the hardware store with a bag of tubes from my folks' big Stromberg Carlson AM/FM radio to test them on a tube tester to see why it quit working. The glass vacuum tubes with their fragile heated filaments weren't as reliable or durable as today's solid state silicon, to say the least. But it seems to me they had a mellow, rich sound that isn't heard today.

    Can new tubes be found to keep the old tube technology going?

    yup, thats it, if you touch the case when you transmit it will knock you across the room, now I know how to fix that. but the chassis is hot on a lot of old electronics. I cut a hole in the top of the mesh case so I could change the xtals on it. Used to buy the crystal from Cal-Crystal I think thet were 7.50 and took 4 weeks.

    No tone adj on a rd mic is there..Its the only reason for one...
