I’ve heard from several people over the past couple of days that their trucks are down because of parts are back ordered. A local guy here in North Alabama has been waiting on a rebuild kit for an n14 since January. Any O/O here had any problems like that?

Join the club. Not just a truck problem we can't get parts for ANYTHING in a reasonable time frame.

It's not just truck parts. I have an order in with Cat for some dozer parts and they're saying it will be three to four weeks 'til delivery. Common parts too, nothing rare or exotic.
The parts guy said it's happening everywhere and he blames it on Covid.

Its getting rough. We had a detroit s60 go down. Opted for a detroit reman for the 3 year, 300,000 mile warranty and it took over 6 weeks just to get the engine in.

Yup, had to wait over 5 weeks for the hood and bumper for my 579. Also had to wait 2 weeks for a nox sensor.

At this point i recomend anyone with a big rig buy common to go out parts like nox sensors or 7th injectors, and stuff them in a box below the bunk.

Should be doing that regardless. Gotta be prepared if you want to be successful.

I mean your not wrong. But you would be amazed how many people dont then do a suprised pikachu when they cant get parts.

Though to be fair i dont have a lot of room to speak atm on that particular issue. i usually have a box with 1 each of all common parts (think hoses, sensors, filters and so on) but it got raided to fix my semi after the honda incident....and is about as barren as a politicians sense of honor atm XD

Been waiting over 2 weeks on a turbo .. and friend has been waiting over 90 days for some common parts from Cat for a dozer... there's probably 150 + new combines sitting in the parking alot at John Deere Harvester Works in Moline IL... that are sold waiting on parts to finish them up on their build.

Overhaul kits are in high demand.
One guy who owns N14 was told 1 st qtr next year.
Another is down because he can't find a clutch.
They let you make money now but won't let you fix the truck.
    This is not good.
