If there are any age requirements on some load board listings, it is usually 10 years or newer. Mostly, I've seen those on loads of paper rolls or bottled water.

My company has some 17 year old trailers with rotten doors. I’m surprised anyone loads them. I’m embarrassed to pull them.slow.rider Thanks this. -

Those side doors are funny. I've seen them on reefers too. I wonder how many times they were even used and what for. It is not like you can pull out a pallet of carrots through it on a partial load...lol

Bought my 2018 Wabash dry van in February for $28k from Trailines Inc in Cincinnati.
They where the 10th place I called and had to drove 600 miles to get it. It was a matter of luck. It's a former Werner trailer that had been rearended by another semi and the place had just finished repairing it and was putting it for sale the day I called.
All you can do is keep calling around hoping to get lucky and get hold of a place right when they are ready to sell one. Unless you want a worn out old trailer.Last edited: Jul 11, 2021
