Running hard....it was hot as hell in Grand Junction last night. I parked after dark, and it was still in the 90s....I felt like I was back south. I picked up in Parachute, CO for Granite City, IL. I was so surprised at how many drivers can't drive mountains.

I haven’t been on that part of 70 in over a year it’s absolutely gorgeous this time of year. Winter though? She’s a #####.

Most of the mega’s treat you like a robot. I would request your home time. Take the days you want. If it’s too long for them tell them to #### off and be driving somewhere else a week later.

Man...what you talking about? I'd rather go around during winter. I certainly appreciate the scenery when I get a chance to travel through there. This Amazon driver liked to have started a bbq. He passed me with brakes smoking so much it fogged up the interstate. He finally atopped, and I stopped to check on him. His English wasn't the best. He didn't even know he had a fire extinguisher on the truck! I had 43k in the reefer, and he said he had 40k plus but he was going way too fast. I know I was pissing people off but the jakes held it at 25 mph lol

All places will promise the world about home time. Climate never promised me more than 3 days from jump. I can say, these folks are honest as hell. They have a system, and it works, so maybe that's why they have that policy. Only speculation. There are people who have taken care more than 3 days off, myself included. I don't know what the issue is. Ultimately, I think they'll cave.

I don't get that at all. I always take a full day off for every week out and they never have a problem with it. Been out 4 weeks at a time several times an always took 4 days off.

I’m just saying I’d avoid that part of 70 like the plague in the winter and early part of spring lol

Yea whenever we get out that way i always see people haulin ### down those down grades. I run down at 35 to 40 but its all in what you're comfortable with. I've found with these newer trucks we have ya always wanna be in 9th or less. I tried runnin down in 10th once like i was able to in the older trucks here an smoked the brakes on the way to phoenix one time.

We were on our way to phoenix for tomorrow. Rich called us in Arizona an turned us around. Smith foods called an told em the product failed quality control. So we turned around at Winslow Az. Sitting at Joplin now. Gonna drop it back at smith foods in the morning. Ya would think that they would run the product through the quality control process before they ship it out.
