It's a good place to work. Do your job and they have left me alone and have taken care of me pretty well so far. My 1st month I was pulling 12 hour days - now that I'm on my own I'm doing on average 50 hours a week.
There is plenty of work if you want it. I'm considering doing once or twice a month linehaul trips on Saturdays to make some extra $ also.

Hi guys. I just accepted a position into the driver trainee program as well in WI. Because of pay/start times, I am more interested in line haul that P/D. At the interview, the terminal manager answered all my questions pretty good, but I am still unclear about the 1 week of training in a different city. He explained that I would work the dock for a few weeks, then be sent to either Minneapolis or Chicago for 1 week of training, then come back and do 25hrs in the yard/ 190 hrs of P/D etc. For that 1 week, do they train you on pretrip, shifting/basics before I come back to my terminal and practice in the yard? Pretty excited about starting OD because most reviews seemed really good about the company. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Looking at the post date this may have been said, but once you get some time in you may find you prefer driving at night. Lot less idiots.

    Congrats,
I also accepted a job offer from OD. Dock to driver position. I just hope that they don't keep me on the dock worker position for 1-2 years before they decide to put me through the training program.

Has OD always pulled containers? First time seeing this. That's a private OD chassis too...

Is that a OD company truck or owner operator? I do know OD sells their fleet trucks when they no longer use them we have a couple around my way that are owner operators who brought OD trucks

    JonJon78 Thanks this.
