Life is definitely quality over quantity. Any time I've had to go in to an old folks home it just depresses me. I'd rather go out like a bad### at the start of my decline than waste away for 25 years in a home.

 

If it's my lie, I'll tell it how I want!

You've proven my point. As have I. Having kids. Having marriages. Leaving behind memories and legacies, for better or worse.
The unknown length of life is not relevant to the quality of life lived. Thus I agree that life, precious and uncertain, should be lived fully and with gratitude.
The consequences of our actions on other people while we ARE alive is the most important thing.

 

So sometime back, I eluded to the fact I was involved in the fire service in the past. Your reply was that "you were to".
If you were, you would understand and not post this. You would understand that second, or third engine in may not enter. Let alone be the crew to kick the door in on the beast. No one wants to be second to tame the beast. Survival is not your first concern, saving others at your expense is. And to be the swinging prick to knock it down.

I dont expect everyone to understand, its not even right. But if you know, you know.
