No, haven't heard of that, but it's a good deal. Choose your loads and not have to deal with the dispatcher giving you what he wants to. I'd do that.

Give USA Truck a try and choosing your loads. You won't be under contract, so can leave anytime without repercussions. At least you know by choosing your loads, you won't be going to New York City and other undesirable locations.

don't jump between company's too fast or you will soon be undesirable. all new drivers will pay the price for awhile( older trucks etc) until you get more experience. try to hold out 9-12 months before changing company's

That what I'm saying do not listen to them. Cause you have no health insurance, no taxes paid, no social security, no worker comp, no unemployment, and no retirement if you call that a good deal. Oh forgot you make nothing. But hay you go for it some day you will realize how bad these deals are. Just do a search on this site on lease purchase if you find a good one let me know.

The number of options out there to drive is making my head spin LOL . I did talk to USA truck again and the recruiter changed his tune on the load board. Said it was not available until 6 months. From there he not surprisingly said my best option would be the Family Dollar account and would get me home weekly. It would run approx 1400 miles per week in a 4 state radius. $200 a day, $200 per trailer unload, and a .04cpm monthly bonus. 3-4 trailers a week with 2-3 stores per trailer.

Not much; only one driver that I'm aware of has posted his experience. Didn't last long there because the pay didn't work out as advertised. Hogan has so many divisions, even car hauling.
Did you decide to not go with USA Truck?
Are you on the far eastern side of North Carolina?

I have talked to USA truck. Recruiter first told me that I would immediately be able to use the load board because of my location and I even mentioned I heard it was 6 months. He again said I could. Well of course when I called him again I got " well we recently changed that " and the load board was not available until 6 months.....BUT I have a great Family Dollar account with weekly home time that pays $200 per day, $200 trailer unload, 3-4 trailers a week.

Im 46 and while I am not in terrible shape I know I would be setting myself up for failure by doing an account like that. If I was in my 20s then sure.

So I am just trying to find as good of a fit for me as I can. Hogan has an intermodal account that runs out of Wilmington NC which is about an hour from me. In in one of those odd locations (Jacksonville NC) that I am right near the beach and hours away from any "BIG" city

I've heard of the Hogan intermodal account.
Good to stay away from that Family Dollar account; lots of new trucking careers have been brought to a screeching halt because of those accounts.
