What is the longest distance you have driven behind the wheel of a tractor trailer? Legally or not so legally.

My personal best is 784 miles utilizing my entire 14 hour clock.

I made a boo boo as a trainee in 1996. My trainer became upset with me, took the wheel, and drove 1,012 miles only stopping to fuel.

I specifically recall the mileage because I handled both of our paper logs.

He was old school for sure.

Legally my best is 696 miles (in a 65 mph truck). The perfect situation arose.

Averaging 65 mph for 11 hours is 715, so it's just barely possible. Kind of surprised me.

Ft. Lewis, WA to Wilmington, NC
I was solo and a team from the same company left Ft. Lewis at the same time.
We arrived in Wilmington, NC at the same time.
I did a few quickie cat naps on the way and was popping Ephedrine pills the whole time.
Don't recommend that at all though; the heart starts racing like it's trying to jump out of the chest.
Used to do similar on regular runs from Nashville, TN to Stockton, CA
Never want to do runs like that again; that's a fast way to an early death.

2210 miles driveway to driveway in 36 Hours drove 35 of it caught about a one hour nap around Chicago. That was Thompson Falls, MT to Waynesburg, PA and running back home empty. Crashed for a solid day after that, was a blast and hell of a story, but definitely don't recommend it. And for people calling BS I documented it all on an APP just for ####s and giggles.
