Man why’s it gotta be such a pain in the ### looking up a part that’s on your car so you can get replacements rofl my power steering hose takes a 5/8 wrench on the end that goes into the power steering pump and the two replacements I’ve gotten are smaller and don’t fit; I’ve tried to look up the number etched on the pump to find out what hose it takes but I keep getting “no parts found”
Grease monkey in training...

That's no joke Sir!PoleCrusher, DeereRunner97, clausland and 6 others Thank this. -
As a fleet mechanic we changed leaking pancakes a lot. All he had to do was back the brake off completely and it wouldn't have jumped off like that.cke, Lostkeys, PoleCrusher and 9 others Thank this.

Got a hydraulic hose shop near you? Should be able to build one up to match your bad one. Price could be better that the parts houses. At least it's that way near mebeastr123, cke, PoleCrusher and 10 others Thank this.

Thanks that’s not a bad idea; I seen some universal kits with different fittings by Gates but I’m having trouble finding out if any have the 5/8 flaringcke, PoleCrusher, jamespmack and 3 others Thank this.

I've run road service more than anything in my life so far. Not often, but have been out for a leaking pancake. Swivels at valve, cage bolt socket rusted or just broke. Back off slack and cut the clamp from behind axle with a torch. NOT a big deal if you have a clue. But don't get ####y.
Be known there is a second pancake in the spring side that can leak. The will leak on park and service side. So many possibilities I won't judge him, except he didn't need to be between the tandems. Or close with cut off wheel.
In years past, the front spring side had a clamp just like the service side. They had to make them non serviceable because people were to stupid to change them. That's the issue that removed peoples head from shoulders.Last edited: Jul 14, 2021

The project had 1 or 2 of those old style ones with the clamp on the park side. I guess when the truck never turned a wheel very much since 2000 it was bound to have a couple old ones from the 90s still on it.cke, farmerjohn64, Lostkeys and 10 others Thank this.

I checked it out....it's all good. It's just a bone head move on his part. Heck, common sense says you take the top one first. Again why I hate people. Our society has become a race to the bottom. Everybody wants more money and more benefits. More...more...more.....but they put out less and less. Grrrcke, farmerjohn64, Lostkeys and 9 others Thank this.
