    Now think of this .....

The FCC IS going after people on 10 meters And if your luck is as good as mine they would be in back of me at a RED light ... :Traffic lights:
The fact remains IF you stay off the HAM bands they realy don't care.

Look up the FCC actions 99% are for going on 10 meters ....

It's funny...Back in the 70's I was running a 1000 watt amp and had a radio that was as modded up as you could get back then. I had a couple of fans to keep the amp cool and was a bonified member of the "I-5 social club" as we later were called.

Even back then I would get the occasional hammie coming down to the lowly CB band to tell me that "Uncle Charlie" as they were referred to in those day was comin' to get me and I was gonna be "10-7"!

    It never happened...Imagine that!

Bottom line is...No one cares except the "occasional hammie" and this GF guy is the epitome of "the occasional hammie" that I'm referring to.

ANY CHANCE I GET TO ANNOY A GUY LIKE THAT...I'LL TAKE!!

I myself would not call you a thorn.More like the little step kid that told on everyone.I myself would say more a joke then a thorn.I wounder do you get some kind of high thinking you are the greatest thing since sliced bread.I think you sir should get a better look at yourself. You are not the FCC.More likely a man in a basement with only hamm friends, sad really.:biggrin_25523:

IF a HAM came down on CB and said he was the FCC TOO BAD YOU DID NOT GET HIS CALL ......

The one thing that I know the FCC WILL do is go after anyone who does that ....... Fact is if your not on 10 meters it's not a problem to us hams ...

Point of clarification...He didn't "claim to be" the FCC, He just claimed that they were in town and were gonna get me...That kind of thing is hilarious!

Classic pencil neck that thinks everyone is afraid of the authorities because he is!
The fact is that the (so called) authorities are pretty much incapable of finding an elephant with a nosebleed in fresh snow....Much less a radio scofflaw traveling 75 MPH down the interstate!

He quotes the rules as if he is the FCC one man show.Clearly he is not and clearly they are not to concerned with truckers little 10meter radios or they would hang out in truck stops and get every one who has one in there truck.
