    I do believe GMRS supports repeaters not FRS. GMRS because of the power limits also requires licensing, I think thats around 75 bucks maybe less.

    You're correct, GMRS users may use repeaters and use up to 50 Watts of RF output. Currently (a reduction is coming in the near future) the license is $75...
