I agree there is something about them. I grew up riding on the doghouse of my dad's Freightliner. I sold my money pit last February.

They have out lasted the rocker pannels, cab corners, bed sides. Maybe time to change them.

Slept many nights on a FL doghouse. Dad put his briefcase in front of the lower door window to sneak me in and out of steel mills. Hard to imagine I once fit down in that space. Lol.

The wires? Or the rockers, cab corners and bed sides?

Late 1988 I think cause it was still warm. Dad had a new 88 FL cabover, 444 Cummins, 13 speed, and I think 4.11's. 1987 set of City doubles. Day time going east on the pike. Im asking him how fast it will go? 103 eastbound hill he got a 87 mph ticket in a 55 mph. All it had. He had 4 coils on for 115k payload. Would be about 147k gross. Fisher body back to Worthington If I recall correctly. State patrolman never asked if he was loaded going east, or at that speed. 30 day tag in the window. Now the best part, I was told to hide in the bunk, behind drivers seat. They took him to the patrol car. He spent the next 30 years telling everyone that would listen how much I cried thinking he was going to jail. That story got kinda old to me, yet I'm telling you folks.

I can't believe how balls to the wall things have been lately. Think I'm gonna head in to work an hour or 2 early tomorrow to get some stuff done uninterrupted. Likely going to put in a half day on Saturday as well at this rate.
