The Sock Site on line has top/bottom sets for less than $30. To stay warm I would absolutely pay that!

The military is using poly pro for their thermals. Dang comfortable and the top has a zipper that will take it up to just under your chin. Price is reasonable and bet you can find poly pro long johns just about anywhere now.

I found (on line) PolyPro thermals (about $40 for a set), socks (about $10), and balaclavas (about $10). Small price to pay for warmth! Thanks!

The problem Isee with poly or nylon is that you sweat and stay wet. The cotton will dry better. Just my opinion

And you're lucky you get to read about my menopause. You could be witnessing it in person. LOL

You know.....I wouldn't buy anything just yet if I were you. You might finish your schooling and get ready to go train and the end of winter will be here. At least see what your date will be for school

I "went through" menopause with my ex then met, and am still seeing, a 50ish lady who, when we began dating, was not menopausal YET! Lucky me, lucky me---oh, but did I say YET? Mother Nature hates me with a passion!!! I'm now on the hunt for a "smokin hot" 70 something year old (with big bucks, of course)!:smt023

I've always like the old fashioned red one piece "union suit" with the flap in the back,...Nothing I hate more than my shirt coming untucked and having a cold wind blow up my back,...Cost is usually around 20 bucks,...

I like rag wool hiking socks,..Warm even when my feet get wet,..Cost 9.00 a pair,....if you take care of them and NEVER put them in the dryer they will last a long time,..

Carhart is the shizzle for outerwear ,...

With boots I always find that I get what I pay for,...My last pair of winter work boots cost me 150.00,...But they are 1000 gram thinsulate and extremely warm and comfortable,....Even with a saftey toe,...These are made by Wolverine,.....I also use boots made by Danner and Redwing,...I ecpect years of service from work boots when I but them,...

Do check out the Feed and Seed $100 seems a little high, I only paid about $65 for my 10" at Tractor Supply (The trade off is Muck has a lot of products and local stores seem to be limited) Every one I've told about them who tried on a pair bought them. Also, as far as durability I'm on my second pair in seven years, the first pair I used in concrete and rebar and they were still good but I lost them in a move - tried to report it but the #### police dpt. wouldn't issues an Amber Alert or anything!:biggrin_2555:

    OLDNEW-
Also consider checking out an Army Surplus if you have one near you - normally have good prices and of course the best gear.
