I can relate. My ol man popped somewhere in CO and I thought he was off to the big house. Around ‘74-‘75. It was a Transtar COE. Rode everywhere with him.

Current situation. Test riding my new to me 1978 Honda XL250. I've been riding the same '85 XL185 since I was 10. Daughter is going to take it over so I had to upgrade.

Ol buddy. Rode around in a trans star too. He called it the Peanut Wagon. Red, white, black. Thought the circus had better looking trucks. Don't recall year, early model. 238 driptroit, 6x4 on hendrickson suspension pulling a old set of steel doubles built out of two wrecked trailers cut down.

He had a 81 Flc 8v92ta that was wrecked twice in 2 years. Walked away both times. Vowed never to get in it again. Sold and financed it to his cousin. Even painted it red for him. Bought the Trans Star to run till a new 85 flc was built. Had to be 1970, to 1975 model. I was with him at some second rate truck dealer in Michigan, think he gave 5k dollars for it.
