Thats what I pull is reefer. Potatoes qualify, as long as they are raw, whole, unprocessed potatoes. In ID and WY (the state's I usually Ag. Exempted in) have declared harvest seasons of all year round.

I just switched from OTR to local/regional so I could be home with the family more. But before I made the switch I had many days that were 900+ miles. If I picked a preloaded in Idahofalls,ID I could make it all the way to Grand Island, NE before doing a 10. Most the time when I did that I would stop somewhere in western NE for a 2 or 3 hour nap though. But I have had a few that I shot straight through stopping only for the required 30 min break.

My best 2 weeks was last September, 7614 miles in 14 days, making 2 runs from ID to the Midwest and back. Both runs were Ag. Exempt on the ID end.

Best single week was 4254 in 7 days. Idahofalls, ID to Mid West then to Helena, MT and back to Idahofalls, ID

That sounds like fun. I think I've only hauled live potatoes once. Did not know about that exemption and company didn't let me know. Would love to run those though.

My new current record, with a slight fudge on HOS was just July 1st, Mitchell, SD to Cavalier, ND back to Sioux Falls, SD, 863 miles, helps to have an 80 mph truck, but got dinged for 45 minutes over on drive time. When I got home on the 3rd, I recalculated my route and realized that had I left Denver the same way I came back, I never would have had the violation, oh well, live and learn.

My all time record, Denver to Houston back to Boise City before I slept. Almost did Tacoma to Denver, but speeding past a trooper who flipped a U-turn caused me to hide and couldn't make it.

Just wait until u see the panhandle. Most people think idaho is a flat farming state. Little do they know, just to the north is a whole different world....

Woke up at T5 in Ohio then drove to Breezewood Pa. Switched loads with another driver and kicked of 10 stops in the twin cities. They sent me down to Albert Lea to make a pick up and it turned into a drop and hook. Went to bed in Lake Station. Woke up a couple hours later and headed to to Western Pa for vacation.

I always get myself some fried cheese curds whenever I am in Wisconsin or Minnesota.

I did make it up to that area once via 95. Delivered a load of wine into some small town in British Columbia or Alberta.

Another dumbo thing I did was follow my gps south from Calgary on 2 to US 89 in Montana instead of 4 that would have connected to I-15 at the border.

Instead, dumbo here stopped at the border and my tractor was searched by a CBP guard instead of the easy way by RDIS or whatever that is. The guard asked why I chose the route that I did and I replied that like a dummy I had followed my gps. He retorted with, "And it shows."

Then I continued my way south again down a snow-covered windy road that went through a ghost town of sorts. Must've been a couple hours before I got on I-15 again.

Never been so angry with myself for taking such a stupid route.

Not exactly legal but when I hauled cattle I had plenty of 6-7k weeks. Then I got smart and decided to chase money elsewhere.

    Longest Drive OTR:

    Ft. Worth, TX to
    Denver, CO to
    Salt Lake City, UT to
    Olympia, WA to
    Bellingham, WA to
    Rothschild, WI

    4,277 miles

Not sure I could or would want to do that every week. I was wore out, for sure.
