Wellgolf, do you have a company your going w/ after schooling? any good info from the drivers at the Fly J or the T/A. I was thinking of W/S, but Roxi said there not hiring out of Boise right now, bummer! I'm now looking at May, GTI or Prime, but I need to do more research. Thanks for the local info!

Speedy yes it is Sage. I am starting to get my paper work going and hopefully be attending sometime in January. when are you going?
I have been looking at Sage for a year and a half, finally going to pull the trigger. The cost has increased a little [demand] and the school director Wayne Rogers left, not sure if its a new owner or just the director's position. Their rep seems to be good and they are a PTDI certified school, keep us posted on your local experience's-liteguy

I also looked at W/S and was told the same thing, Sandy said to check back after the 1st of the year. I have a pre hire at Werner and May and waiting to hear back from Crete and Swift. I had talked to Gordon and they said they had too many apps from drivers with exp. and to give them a call when I had 6mo. exp.
As it stands now I will go with May, but I was hopeing to get on with a company that has APU units on thier trucks. So good luck and I will try to keep you guys updated on this thread as to where I end up. We have a 2 week break for Christmas and the new year and I will graduate on the 14th of Jan.

    Hello to all:
I start school Jan 4 at ATDS in Texas. Have been in another career 4 30years. Had 4 children and no wife. But now all kids are grown and I am finally going to do what I want to do. Economy has ruined other career and has not done much for trucking either. I know it is a bad time to do this, but I cannot wait any longer. I have fought thru alot in life and have allways made it through. I will do what it takes and take what comes. I cant wait to start.

    kickin chicken Thanks this.

Hey liteguy, May has no apu's,they do run bunk heaters so you won't freeze, but they are pretty tight on idle time. As far as home time you get 1 day for every 7 out. I don't know how offen you might run I-84 but I do see alot of their trucks on the road here.

I have no problem with crashing or hijacking or derailing this blog, if fact I find it entertaining. It sounds like so far my plans to go to Sage and land with May in about a year and a half from now seem to be tracking just fine. It's nice to know what's happening in my neck of the woods as far as future trucking. So if you folks' plans include May but fall through to someone else please let me know. Keep posting here as I like to know how my 'homies' are doing. Me? I'm still doing well.

    Speedy Delivery out.

We can turn this into a Idaho only thread and keep those highjackers out LOL:biggrin_255:
