I read his "how to" and wondered the same thing. I have forgotten to,infrequently at best, over time, but I certainly feel the pucker factor if I do not-
to all end dump haulers...

I only ever pull my trailer to me when I know I’m on good ground, and even then things can get funny quick, and my way of thinking brings me back to common sense….if your trailer starts going over, the first thing you do is put it down, if you do this in a moment of panic while you’re pulling your trailer to you all you’re going to do is push back on the load and you have a much better chance of going over, with the trailer brakes set at least if things go bad, your truck has a clear path forward and the trailer could potentially right itself that much quicker, and easier. Good rule of thumb for me, when training someone new is simply dump with your trailer brakes set, and pull forward as needed, eliminate the risk.

How's everyone been lately? I've been busy, still running loads that get me to the house every night which is great. The dedicated deal I had going for 3 weeks or so pretty much dried up, they're going to start exporting the material in containers directly out of the facility so there's no need for my services anymore, although I do still get about 3 loads a week out of there going down to Tampa. Otherwise, been hauling quite a bit of cold patch, some fertilizer, lime rock and anything else moving around the state.

Anyone still around?

Yup still here and kicking dispite my trucks best efforts to bankrupt me. Just dont have a whole lot to talk about. Just doing things, dumping my loads, fixing random parts literally explodeing....
And trying to figure out why my brand new recap tire is wearing weird along the inner grove on my trailer. The usual. -

Hey all! I’m here. We have just been incredibly swamped busy. Concrete is going full bore and it seems like every little rail yard in nebraska is wanting ballast. 3 of us were hammering a concrete plant with rock today and we couldn’t keep up.
@Trashtrucker1707 are you still gettin home on the regular?
@Arctic_fox one of your company drivers was pulled over on 435 yesterday in between 70 and I-29 on the west side. They were getting the portables out when we drove by. I think he came from New Market, MO. Hope he got out unscathed.kylefitzy Thanks this.
