LOL me too. About 6 years ago I got pulled over in NY and they were like where is your HUT sticker and I said what is HUT? LOL. They let me roll and I got it set up as soon as I got home.

Also when you file the quarterly they should give a breakdown of what states you owed and which states you had a surplus. Then you can figure out if it’s worth it to buy more fuel in the states that you owed.
I seldom buy fuel in Ga unless I need a shower.

The way I see it, is you pay up front at the pump, or you get billed later by IFTA. In the end, it's a wash. I'm going to continue ignoring it. I've got more important things to do, like browse TTR.

Note to self: If you drive 1,500 miles in New York, buy more than 20 gallons of diesel.

Ninety bucks! The best was Virginia owing me $52, but their surcharge was $50. If you have "low" taxes and a surcharge, then how do you have low taxes?

I thought I was being ESPECIALLY LAZY this quarter, and I drove almost the same exact amount as last quarter.

I have to peel the Super Trucker sticker off my windshield and work harder.

I did increase my MPG to 5.99 this time around vs 4.89 last quarter lolol. I think I enjoyed the rumble of the straight pipes a little to much.

Your goal should be only to buy fuel at the cheapest price- price less state fuel tax. If you can get your fuel cheaper in the other states that's where to buy. Yep, sometimes your going to pay IFTA a little, sometimes a lot and sometimes get a refund. Paying more for fuel in high tax states like states like NY, PA And Cali just to lower your IFTA only makes sense if it is the cheapest fuel.

Same thing I told my wife. I may have had to pay a little this time, but I saved hand over fist overall.
