Folks dump 'em off here at the farm from time to time. They help keep the rodent pop down, but I don't want 'em in the house, or on the porch. Years back the rodent pop was gettin pretty bad, shot some but then bought a 5# pail of green bait blocks, put it in the rabbit house, all gone by morning, every crumb. Next night put another 5# out, by morning, almost all was gone. 3rd night another 5# out, next morning almost all still there, end of problem. Field mice get up into the hay mow and chow down, not as bad as the coons who crap all over the hay and chow down the sweet corn though. Stinkin varmints, every farm has 'em, but you know what, still better than the inner city two legged varmints....

Well, learned something new. Was at the pub, sitting on the patio. Heard a loud boom. Suddenly guys started running around in circles, yelling about a car fire. The kitchen manager hands them a fire extinguisher. They look at each other, look at the fire extinguisher, look at the car. Froze up.

    Seriously?

Give me the fire extinguisher. Open the hood.

“No, don’t open the hood! The fire will spread!”

The owner opens the hood. Pin out, aim, knock the fire out in nothing flat. Disconnect the battery. Hand the fire extinguisher back to the kitchen manager. I had no idea that people don’t know how to run a fire extinguisher.

I don't mind cats if there outside. We had one show up when i was little. He was already full grown, no idea how old but he was with us 17 years. Lazy fat cat tho he'd rather eat the dogs food than hunt Lol

When I was FD we went and taught 1st graders. A knowledgeable first grader has more chance than a non educated adult.

We always talk about guns. But how many keep a fire extinguisher in their bed room?

Hint your more likely to die from fire than gun play in the bedroom.

Teaching a kid how to use one might save you.

So are you dead set on 18, one quick Google search i can find a 18913 no core reman for 4400.00?

A 13 is 100% better than that rock box 10.

We have a fire extinguisher in the kitchen and utility room. People are funny in stressful situations. I have gotten many a laugh in such situations.

I'm not sure if these ones mama was a dump or from my neighbor....she has a bunch. I use to stay up late at night and they'd stop out front...... I'd swing open the door to see them flinging something out.....then take off.

I also figured out someone was growing smoke in the fence row past my house......step out on the porch at two am.....them kids was like ground squirrels tryin to find a hole.....

We use the red blocks from the exterminator...... It's my understanding the government made them take something out of the green blocks....that's what we use to always use.

In the house, keep all the fire extinguishers in the bathrooms.

Because the bathrooms are centrally located and generally away from the most likely places a fire may start. You are moving away from the fire, then can get the extinguisher, and move into the fire, and if needed a way to retreat.
