Where is the "NONE OF THE ABOVE" option?
Seriously, all those jobs listed are chicken scratch $$$$$.
    I wouldn't touch any of them with a 10...no make that a 50-foot pole.

.32 cpm to pull a tanker?
LOL...that may have been good money in 1986.

Um , I'm a "chemical guy " , have dedicated runs to Canada and I'll be out there running every day the milk haulers are . The cost of a chemical plant shutting down because it is out of product is a little higher than the cost of a few thousand gallons of milk . Sit at home ? We have plenty of work .

You are in a good nitch. So am I. I run about what you posted your average miles per week is (2500) lots of it dedicated. I also know lots of drivers in my company at other terminals sat quite a bit this past winter. I also know some that work for QC that did as well.

The milk haulers didn't miss a beat. But they didn't make as much money either.

True . I've often said QC has over 100 terminals and each terminal has its own policies . I don't actually work for QC. I work for an affiliate that was formerly a Montgomery affiliate and has had the same shippers for over 15 years .

Well I agree kinda. I think the mileage really doesn't mean squat if your not working. I have a job with a union outfit on it's last leg (YRC) but I make .55 per mile good for high 80's a year. But this deal is coming to a end for me 12 years senority and hardly working.:biggrin_25513: I have made my money and saved it and just looking for a job that pays the Rent the rest I don't have to worry about. Tired of the Politics :biggrin_25512:

Superior isn't as big as QC but my situation is similar. My terminal used to be the base terminal for Central Transport. Superior bought them a few years ago but we still have the same customers. Lots of other terminals don't have that customer base to keep them busy. They would get a 5-600 mile load and be sent right back home if the destination terminal didn't have a load for them. That made for some short weeks. When its going good they did fine.

I been driving a refer for tens years now. Wouldn't touch anything else for twice the money. The produce can be a pain but you do make extra money with the stops.
