Hello everyone! I am trying to change the stock incandescent light bulb into LED ones for the map light (lights on top of the driver and passaenger). I bought some 1156 from eBay and they do not work, however they worked for the dome light in the sleeper area. Can anyone link led that works for the front map light leds? Thanks in advanced.

I know this is an old thread, but not much came up. I bought some 1156 drop in leds and they're not working for me either.

Maybe the DC isn't smooth enough? I'm doing research and I'll post anything I find here.

Well all I could come up with was the issue that some require a resistor in-line to increase power draw. Didn't think that would be an issue for interior lights.

I'm going to order some from digi-key. Most people seem to recommend 6 ohm, high wattage. I'll get 50 W for the turn signal since they're in the engine bay and 20 or 30W for the map lights.

These seem to be the cheapest ($3.50 each):
KAL50FB6R00 Stackpole Electronics Inc | Resistors | DigiKey

For those who don't mind Amazon ($1.50 each):
