The benefits of being back home.

 

Mama is feeling a little better...
We're headed to the lake. I'm sure the yard is a mess. My neighbor has been trying to pay me back for digging out his fire pit area for a month. Told them they don't owe us nothing..... that's what neighbors are for.

 

I am now, and playing with a kid. I think her mental capacity is higher than myself after one beer anymore.

 

Nothing extravagant.

Got a 30A 100W Flexible Solar Panel with charge controller, this inverter, and a 100aH Deep Cycle Gel Battery.

Going to mount the deep cycle under the bunk (probably in one of the external cabinets where I've got my tools n such) and it'll be hooked up to the solar panel and inverter. Use that as the "house" battery for powering and charging electronics etc. while I'm parked. I dislike idling so I wanted to put in a light duty solution so I can keep the engine off as much as possible. Next will be to figure out what to do when there's not enough sunlight for the solar panel to do its thing.

 

We are on a big job tonight.

 

Might look into better batteries for more storage capacity. Like some lithium cells

 

I might in the future. For now the battery I got will suffice for this stage of the experiment since what I'll be using it for doesn't need a ton of capacity.
