It is normally pretty good spirited.
I use to have large Buffalo Sabres magnets on my truck.
I would get some boos and some comments, but normally they were in jest. It never slowed me down loading or unloading, and added some conversation.
If you take it well they will not mind, if you take the ribbing poorly then I could see issues coming.
couple TMC questions

I am serious thinking about going over the road. I have know type of otr exper. at all. I have applied with TMC. What I have read is that they have a really good training. Is it as good as they say? How is the loads going? How many weekend do you get home? How is the benefits? I have had my CDL-A since 91 but the major part of my driving has been with several construction companies where I have drove dump trucks, haul trucks w/trailers and straight trucks. I have never drove a 13 speed shift.

Best of luck to you. I know alot of guys post about the orientation, I am curious as to the trials and tribulations of the hiring process before you get to orientation. If you get a chance, let us know.

My experience was pretty painless. I filled out an appl. for a few companies. A half-dozen companies got back to me, wanting to hire me. I chose TMC because of my impression that they took care of their equipment & drivers.
I can not say too much bad about TMC. They have treated me more than fairly. Yes, I have complaints! They treat me like a turd in a punch bowl! I've learned to swim in the punch bowl, and I know I'm not a turd, so I sort of enjoy it. It's fun... floating around in there. -
just sounds like he was telling you just how it is... whats wrong with that? i think iwould rather have someone shoot it to me straight than to give me lip service. just my 2 cents worth. sounds to me like you are a slob..

While I won't assume you're a slob, I second the prior sentiment. Give Terry the benefit of the doubt, I have met him and he's a pretty nice guy for a republican
Yes TMC inspects their trucks when the opportunity arises, you can get away with dirty, you can't get away with filthy.

Maybe you ought to read his response again, and then mine. At any rate, that post is a YEAR old. I've already done a 7 month stint at TMC since that post for crying out loud. I understand though, it's easy to get bored on the road and I've found myself reading entire threads on more than one occasion.
