Once again sitting in Carlisle. Spent the night in Jersey :( thanks to NYC traffic. Left with clear dry roads in the AM and pulled in here when I couldn't make out the road anymore. Been watching it snow continuously since. Figure if I had kept going I could have been part of the mess down on the 81 in VA. Guess I'll hang out here for the evening.

Yeah, I plan on being here overnight. I don't have my supertrucker endorsement yet, so I have to sit here.

Well am at the house now. Have finally decided the company is deliberately screwing as many drivers as they can to save money thru this holiday. Load was rdy when I hit Sherman, TX this morning. Sent in an eta and requested that they get my appt. changed at wally world that I would be there 48 hrs early. The response I got back was "we don't reschedule appt. on the weekends". Well you can guess my response but the clean version was, you don't pay me to sit under a load and babysit it so I ain't. They sent me thru OKC so came home. Am trying to decide if I give a sh i t enough to do the professional thing and deliever the load on time even tho they aint.

I want to get into truck driving really soon. I saw in the local paper that Central Refrigerated will pay for your training if you work for them for 1 year and it also says you will make $35-40k your first year. What should I expect if I were to decide to go with Central? I am also considering PAM...

I seriousley doubt that you will make 35 to 40k your 1 st year no matter who you go with!!! 25 to 28k maybe.

Had a nightmare trip to our stop 99!:mooh: First I-77 was shut, so JJ decided to take US 60 (Don't take us 60) it started of OK and deteriorated rapidly when I say rapidly I mean rapidly. A 4 wheeler was stuck in a snow bank so JJ did his good deed and pulled it back on the road and then a USA truck was realllllllllllllllly stuck needed a wrecker for it to be pulled back on, a Swift truck couldn't get traction to get up the hill and when he did get a run up at the hill an IDIOT 4 wheeler blocked him so he had to try again, the same idiot 4 wheeler blocked him again, on the 4Th attempt he made it. us 60 had 19 inches of snow so that should give ya an idea of how the road was:biggrin_25513: anyway we are in Salem VA for our stop 99 and then onto Eden NC and then back through the snow to Denver CO.

I really hope the snow has melted a lil by then!
