Well thats why you haven't been complaining that there is no rain.

 

Lotsa work keeping them things running. Adds up to long days. I love being out n about helping stuff grow.

 

You guys ever mistake a random noise in the middle of the night thinking someone's trying to break in? I was in the utility room doing laundry and heard what sounded like someone trying to open the front door. I grabbed a 5LB sledge in one hand and a fire poker in the other ready for battle...........it was the dehumidifier cycling on and off. It'll do it a few times in a row before it actually shuts off but with the washer running i heard different Lol. Facepalm after i realized what it was. My hearts still racing

 

ROCKS UPDATE
As of Sat night, 2130 hrs (west coast time)....the little miss has responded by text from "the middle of nowhere in TN near KY"...she has no internet but will be back and updating everyone next week.

 

Good to hear. She ain’t to far from me then.....

 

The 1 man shop (me) I work at doing bus inspections is also a 2400acre family farm. Lots of frowny faces around there. 0 yeild from fava beans. 1 type of wheat is toast. We've had some rain in the last week, but appears busing will be more profitable then farming this year for them.

 

Lots of folks are in that same boat. Spring will be interesting when all the numbers are in. More food shortages and more.....higher prices. Swell.
