I used to lift a long time ago. Reading the posts from you and Six on the subject has me thinking about getting into it again.

With my luck though, I’d work 12 hours, go lift for an hour, and then not be able to sleep.

The only commercial chain steak joint I care for is salt grass. Their stuff is usually pretty good. We don't go out often though. Primarily because we have a steak almost every day at the house. When you make your own, you tend not to go out. Plus I have a bunch of kids that are endless frigging botoomless pits!..

    Lol

Think about pouring a concrete pad to work on and make it the right size to build your shop on top at a later date. a large garden shed or two can protect your tools and keep them handy until you build your shop.

Looked like you have been running around my area lately.... If ya get stuck in Altoona at the truck stop or the casino..... Take a walkabout down to the big steer. You won't be disappointed and you won't walk out hungry. Personally I'd Park at the casino.

I was thinking the same. I have a small shop there now. It's a 30x30. It's so small it's shy of useless. Problem is concrete is so expensive now and it's all booked up a year out. Even if I pour it myself. That is the thing right now where I live. So many folks moving here fleeing all the crap the voted for, that all services are roughly a year out. Never seen anything like it. My buddy just went and bought a dump truck because he couldn't get anybody to haul rock to his place. So he did it himself...lol. he actually got a smoking good deal on an old MACK dump truck. I would have bought it if he didn't. He gave $5k for it and it is flawless.
