I'll say in 2015, I was responsible for brokering a 6.5 million dollar deal with them. Well almost. Elogs hurt them. Driver shortage was worse. I was working a deal with a regional VP to put in place a group of steel haulers in the vicinity. Had a 800 owner op fleet on my side. Jb needed work done thier trucks couldn't do. Me and thier area VP meet dozens of times. We are now friends and families know eachother. I sold them on the idea of how productive contracted trucks on paper would be. But no junk load board stuff. 2.45 cpm and 200.00 per hour after 1. Plus fsc, and tolls. On top of, JB had zero control over us. We were to be the dirty guys. Had a area stripped for drivers to park flatbeds inside distribution center. And for drivers to sleep. But no one was to be questioned. The am that I'm to sign contract as a agent for the company I'm representing. My contact calls to tell me, he is no longer with them.

I still went to meeting. Showed up in my rig. Walked in to Andrew, driving a douche bag sports car. Explaining xxxx is no longer with them. But still wanted to work together. He did me dirty and tried to drop the rate .45 cpm. I apologized to the room for showing up in a polo and dirty jeans. Said as you can see I was working. Everyone said its ok, we seen you pull in with a truck and back into a parking spot.

Then I told Andrew to pound sand in his rear end.

Walked out. Probably first time I have talked about this. Xxxx we are still buddy's. They broke one off in him to.

Wow. That’s an interesting twist on the classic JB Hunt bait and switch.

    A trailer.....it's a jeep thing...lol

I had a cj5. Didn't have heat in it and it was my daily driver for awhile. I carried a ice scraper for the inside windshield. I drove it over hooser pass everyday to work for awhile. I bounced it off the side if the mountain a few times, rolled it a few others.

Edit: Had the inline 6 in it and I put the holley projection kit on it. Still got horrible mpg.

I have hauled 3 loads for them under my authority. They paid me on time. No one knows me. They paid my premium.
Just get it back over time. I guess.

I turned down a easy load for my day rate this morning..... It supposed to be 99° here tomorrow.

I don't leave the house without AC.
