I like hearing that, thanks. You're one of the few that actually get it, good deal...

    Maxxforce, ugh. I'm looking at a '90 IH 7100, DT466, all mechanical...

I retired a all mechanical 1995 dt466 2 years ago. 1994/95 had a better p7100 pump. You could not let go of the key fast enough and it was running.
The amount of defective crap Navistar sold during the maxxforce era is astounding. We only have the one maxxforce.
We have 1 2017 cummins. It has been ok.
Cummins has spent about 12k on the def system under warranty.
Last 2 we bought have the PSI 8.8L gas big block. PSI manufacturers them under license from gm. Low rpm engine. Redline is 2400. Same fuel mileage as our dt466s..
    Turn key, go..

Roger that, I'd actually prefer to find a good 8100, with a mechanical L10, hooked to a 9 or 10 roadranger, S/A, no sleeper, short wheelbase (144-148"). I called about one, left my info, never heard back. I guess they didn't want to sell it that bad. I see quite a bit out way out west and deep south, very little here in the northeast, albeit worn out rust bucket junk.

I've picked up a quite a few loads, not because I'm the cheapest, hardly, but because I always return phone calls. Folks really like that. OK, dinner's over back to work....

Talked to a gent today. He waited 5 weeks for a stock cam for a 5.7l hemi truck engine. Isn't that something.

Works done, trucks parked, charcoals going, beers cold. Maybe no parts, but at least we can still get beer, for now anyway.
