Not necessarily. You might want to tone it down a bit. Let's not get all draconian.

I run local only, (Intrastate) I never leave Cali. I only display my Business name and Ca. number and 2290(80k) decal. Not even my US Dot number I display. I run paper log, what’s weird is when I get pulled in for inspection, they “ASK” me, your local, I reply yes,(I’m expecting the next question is, let see your hours), but NO, never had to show my hours. Go figure…..

THIS!!! I honestly feel a little bad for the people who post things like this. How can you own a truck and have a driver, yet have no clued about even the simplest things that students from even all the mega carriers know the answers to? We all love to rag on new drivers who went through a CDL mill, (I did that 15 years ago.), but we have people either out on the roads or employing drivers who don't even have knowledge or comprehension of the basics. I'd rather have a newbie driver from some mega carrier on the road next to me than this guy or "his driver"!

The OP was a one-post wonder! We could be looking at something as simple as one of those "transportation" services that take seniors to doctor appts. No commercial vehicles. Before the Covid thing hit you could see these vans bringing in Veterans to the VA Hospital all the time. They would drop off the patient then go wait in the Hampton University parking lot across the street from the VA "dom". The OP has not provided any further information now for almost a week. We can't answer any questions until we have a better idea of the circumstances around that "ticket"!
