I'll try to upload a pick but yesterday I put 115 gallons and 90 gallons in my truck. Yesterday was a 420 mile trip and today is a 500. I have 140 gallon tanks and get 6.5 to the gallon. My thing is this truck gets on e way too fast. I started my trip today and drove 50 miles and now it's on e. I need to know if it gets lower than because I'm not sure. Wait while I try to upload a pic

Have you checked both tanks to see if they are close to the same level?

    Rideandrepair and Magoo1968 Thank this.

Grab your fifth wheel puller and dip the tanks . It could be a sending unit, ground or gauge .

Dino soar and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Get a stick and stick it in your tanks. See if they are close to the same level.

You say it gets on E too fast. What does it read when both tanks are full? Do you fill both tanks ? Do they both take fuel?

Those trucks only have one sending unit, I think, on the drivers side. I had and FLD that quit drawing fuel from the left tank. Line was plugged leaving the tank. Gauge was going up as I drove down the road. Stopped to look south of Vegas. Left tank overflowing, in California no less. Company sent me to Freightliner. Ran out of fuel just as I pulled into the check in area with 0 in the right and over full on the left. Was crap in the tank plugging it up.

Rideandrepair and Buddy Stinson Thank this.
