I've always loved how that guy in the bottom picture has his box. I really wanted to do that on my next truck but just can't spare that much wheelbase. Already have enough problems with length permits and avoiding escorts.

I have all of my chains on a box on the drivers side low to the ground now but it's closer to a standard side box. 24x24 with hangers at the back. It seemed like a good idea 5 years ago when they were built. Having to kneel down on the ground and bend over to reach back into the box sucks though. Especially if it's a muddy job site.

I can fit 3 chains in each of the dividers along the bottom. I keep 16 10ft chains and 12 binders in there.

I'm going back to a standard headache rack for my next truck. Trying to get one of those roll up door racks if I can find one in time.

If your going to a lot of job sites or other dirt/mud sites, I would stress not going with a roll door type unit. Even more so in the winter. My neighbor has them on his field truck. they have been heavily modified, now they swing up.

The first load of precast sewer drains I x’d the straps over. How’s the second load of fiber reels look to y’all? Did I load the trailer right or should I have spread the bigger reels out more?

ive been meaning to stop being lazy and move some of my 1/2” chains into one of the boxes and out of the rack.

I can’t speak highly enough of having access to everything from the ground. Saves so many trips up the steps or a hop onto the trailer.

I have an opinion but I will let one of the experts answer first so I can find out how wrong I am before i post it.

What are those silver things? Are they banded to the pallets?

I have my chains and binders tucked in between the landing gear on my step deck. Easily fit 12 chains and binders - I actually have room for more. Also have coil racks down there too. It's all between the frame rails directly behind the truck tail lights. You really dont notice it unless your trying to find my chains

Its a mess now, but when its organized everything fits easily. Only thing I think about adding is a small peice of old tarp to drop down and cover everything from weather

Would y’all have put edge protectors on these mats? The edges were rough so I put them on.Another driver said they weren’t necessary.
