My rear of tractor flashers and turn signals don't work. But the front and sides work fine. What could cause this? Blown fuse? When I'm bobtailing nobody can see my blinkers which I don't like.

yea.....get that fixed. No signals and bobtailing is a good way for the dot man to decide a level 1 is a good idea....as for that check your fuses for starters. But if both sides are out its likely either a wireing issue or blown relay. Easiest way to check is to verify its not a fuse then get a multimeter and check if current is going to the lamps.

Brake lights do not work either. Just a steady running light no matter what.

O4 unless someone changed them i would guess has incandescent lights. They burn out a lot. I'd guess burned out bulbs or corroded wiring.

I still run incandescent tail lights in my truck and it's a constant battle to keep them working. They seem to burn out every few months

Just a thought and don't know if this will help or give you ideas on where to look. Many times it is brake lights not working on tractor but working on trailer. In that case I often suspect the signal switch on the column as the tractor brake lights run through there. On those older trucks anyway. Todays trucks I don't have a clue, but I still suspect the problem is in that area. But anyway, the power for both tractor brake and signals run through the same wires back to the lights, so I would want to see where they run to from the back forward. I would try to find some wiring diagrams to see.

If you are a truck owner buy yourself a test light and learn how to use it. Very valuable tool. Cheap too Screenshot_20210805-180844_Chrome.jpg

Start at each tail light. Untangle the wires. It’s probably a broken ground affecting everything. Running and tail lights run on one set of wires. One jumped from the other. Turn signals have seperate wires. I’ve had to fix mine a few times over the years. It’s usually visually noticeable, broken ground to frame, or broken wire. A test light, with blinkers on, or running lights on. Or apply the hand brake, to get brake lights to come on. Everything out. Check for ground wire to frame. Starting at the frame, working back into the harness. Same with other wires. Look you’ll probably find one broken. Look for green corrosion as a sign.

Well I changed the lights out and put new fuses in and that didn't help. Still have no brake lights or blinkers. Then I looked and saw this hack job. Cut wires and stuff electrical taped together.. didn't have time to finish messing with it today but I'm pretty sure this is the cause of the problem. Gotta love buying used trucks and trying to fix other people's stupid stuff 20210815_164447.jpg
