You are right bob, on avg out of a class of 35, only 3er4 are left after a years time. And by the sound of most of your very useful post, you will be

succesful at werner and will be one of the ones to stay. GOODLUCK!, but i dont think youll need it ;]
I cant agree more with the below quote and prety much your entire post. You got the right idea completley and think you will be succesful very quick.

A sad but true saying in the trucking industry is:"It all depends on your dispatcher". Some are better then others and lemme tell ya, there are

some that are not very good at all..lol luck of the draw I guess.

With all things aside, werner is a good company with a very good system of doing things if you ask me. They do have some dptchrs that donot

    play by the rules tho.

Hopefully your dptchr will be easy to get along with and you earn his/her respect out of hardwork and dedication, which will sometimes keep

you movin when some are not.

But I think you will like werner very much.

The trucking industry takes a tough skin, resiliance, good attitude and will chew up and spit alot of people out.

It aint for everybody, so dont let the people on here #####n and moanin have any negative affect on you.

You are the type of student with the kind of attitude it takes to make it and that a dptchr/companys like.

They are a "training" company tho. So I would work there for 2er3 yrs and move onto bigger and better things.

Or you can make your home there too, they have many 500k,750k,milli mi drivers who seem very content =) happy trails

Do you know if Werner requires to repeat your school if you have not driven in 18 months due to military duties

Just get one of your buddies to answer the phone and verify you drove combination vehicles in the Military.

A little off topic for a minute
You got that cheit right. Is like, the government thinks they

have to look after us because we are too incompitent or

stupid to look after ourselves or something. WAY too

controling our government has became nowadays and are

taking unnoticeable, small steps every year towards

complete and total control with fewer and fewer liberty's.

As far as europe having less accident, faster trucks and no

log books, are you saying that more accidents are from

rushed drivers due to hos, then actual fatigue,or fatigue

caused by hos and not being able to leave when you need to?
    (your probably right)

You know something though? It takes one person to screw it up for everybody.

But just because one person does something doesnt give the government

good reason for some of the things they try to mandate, regulate, or control.

People will do crazy things. The government knows this and takes

advantage of that/exploits certain issues to empliment the things they need to take

over and eliminate the rights they donot agree with or think we should have.

Why are you asking this if you are a student ? I checked your other posts and saw nothing indicating any experience .

We appreciate you service but I doubt anyone will be able to predict what will be happening 18 months from now . Check back when you're ready to go to work .
Veterans deserve a lot better than what Werner has to offer though .

Maybe werner takes note of certain persons who work for them.

Kinda isnt fair to everyone else but it seemed like when I was

there the vets were always on dedicated accnts or always under lds and

for the most part looked to be doing vry well and content for that matter.

Maybe that was just a disillusion I had and the real reason was they are

ex-military and dont whine or worry about what someone has to offer but

what they themselves can offer and get in return as a result of hardwork,

dedication and ability to have resiliance through disatisfaction.

Be safe over there and when you get back I think you

will enjoy working at werner very much.
