I’m thinking not at this time…….but everyone else should go there.

No thats a human weld... You can see where the weld is smoked from a restart in the middle of the beam. The other end of the weld was already chipped of slag, then a new welding rod was used to complete the weld. The chipped portion of the first part of the weld got smoked when the second half was started... Machines dont do restarts, they make one continuous weld.Rideandrepair, Dale thompson, InTooDeep and 6 others Thank this.

We have an FMC Conveyer plant here; and over the years of forklift maintenance for them, saw a lot of their products. Mainly long sections of V belt conveyers for mining apps. Amazing to see some of the welding being done and the uniformity of the welds. What I liked most tho, was the slaggy, dusty, metal grinding residue that collected on the armatures of their electric forklifts, chewing up brushes and armatures.
Pick it up, to shop, remove forks, tilt mast fully back, chain under the steer axle and with a 10K lift, set it up on its nose.
Just walk up in it and replace the eat up brushes, or snatch out the motor to turn the armature.Easy 6 to $800 job in the 80's.Rideandrepair, Dale thompson, Bud A. and 5 others Thank this. -
Reason I asked was G/Daughter had a mix-GSP and hound. Speckled all over like your colors.
Dog would get excited and bark, bark bark like any dog for about 5 times. Then, without a pause for breath, would cut down on an a, Roo,ah, hound bay. Really interesting to actually watch,as opposed to just hearing. Would sound like 2 different dogs.
(To clarify and risk umbrage, dog came from a shelter in Round Rock, TX. Mixed up dog.)Rideandrepair, Dale thompson, InTooDeep and 7 others Thank this. -
