It cold be worse... it could be me.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for CBSA officers. Based on personal experiences as a frequent border crosser/traveller and a personal acquaintance that was an officer, many of them fall in the range of dirtbag (including the acquaintance).
Although the guy in this story did, in fact, enter the US, it was very marginal and brief and consideration should have been given for those factors as well as his vaccination status. Now, is he telling the truth about how he acted, or was he a little salty with them? I do agree wholeheartedly with the ex-officer quoted about the dire need for independent oversight of the CBSA... and with the ability to actually do something.
Canadianhauler21, tinytim and Magoo1968 Thank this. -
They were fine today. Talked to an officer I know well this morning, they are slowing down, wait till the non commercial traffic starts, that’s what will give them the most impact.
tinytim and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
CTV News interviewed a driver this afternoon that was 4 hrs crossing at Sarnia this afternoon.

Was stuck at Kingsgate for 4 hours today. They inspected every cab that crossed or atleast made it seem like they were actually working. Seems like there little fiasco worked and made noise because they have come to an agreement already.
Always the public sector getting away with this ########. We as truckers could learn a thing or to from them. Mayne then we to could change the working environment we all know exists in the industry amd is pretty much only an elephant in the room because we let them do it to usdunchues Thanks this. -
Strike is done. Settled

7 miles worth of trucks at Emerson tonight. Once they reached a tentative agreement, they opened 5 lanes. Lol.
Magoo1968 Thanks this. -
They pouted and won. We as trucks pout and that's as far as it goesRussell The Trucker and Magoo1968 Thank this.

Because we as truck drivers don't stick together. Mostly as the industry is so huge there are competing requirements within the industry.
The parts of the industry that does stick together tends to be treated very well (Look at the LTL world and their unions)
