Anymore the there's no reason to pay to have a laptop repaired, when they can be replaced for a couple hundred $.

I will go there today and check that out... and Walmart too...
Last time I saw laptops... they were over one thousand... the ones I liked at least... And the cheapest ones were like three hundred but too small screen, or didn't have all the ports I wanted, or the brands were inferior... I like HP or Dell... third generation intel i5...
The one I had and got motherboard fried, was 5 yrs old or older... it was a Dell, 15" screen and it was a touch screen... love that feature but it costs more than others.
I had some files in it that I would like to retrieve... So, I left it with another computer store for a repair estimate... waiting for their response.cke, Eldiablo, Brettj3876 and 5 others Thank this. -
Invest in an external hard drive. You can save all your files to that instead of the internal hd and never have to worry about losing them when a board kicks the can.
Something like this.

That way if a laptop does die for one reason or another then you've already got everything saved onto that drive and it's easier to retrieve on a new laptop and no need for the repair man to have to get them off the dead laptopFlint1, cke, shooter19802003 and 8 others Thank this. -

Yeah... I do have an external hard drive with so many tera bytes... can't remember how much... but I still had a few files on my desktop that I didn't back up or saved before the motherboard died...
those files are not much important but not sure if there was anything that I still needed.

Copied from the internet..
"DT: Grasshoppers are superior to beef not only in nutrition content. It is much more efficient and sustainable. Grasshoppers contain way more protein than beef with a whopping 72-percent protein content including all essential amino acids. They do not contain saturated fat or cholesterol."otherhalftw, Hammer166, cke and 4 others Thank this. -
