I have a general lee that I installled a nitro knob set on. they look and work great! My only issue with them is they are too bright at night. I was just going to install a small micro switch on the bottom plate by the speaker, but then i got to thinking a hi-lo dimmer switch would work also. I know the wiring needed, just don't know what size resistor to put on the low side. Can anyone please help me ? thanks in advance....Joe

anybody have any ideas?
-
well... i dont know much about that... but what ive done is threw a rag over the radio at night..... those blue led's are killer
-
I would do that, butthat's too ghetto for me!

Fixed it! took a look in my cb parts bin and checked out a volume switch which is basically a potentiometer and insalled it on the bottom plate of my radio.works great ,just like the dimmer switch on your vehicle dashboard. .thanks anyway....joe

Man I know what you mean about those lights. I have post-it notes over my channel display and the meter. Was your solution an easy mod.?
I've only had my Gen. Lee for a few weeks and it keeps shutting itself off. If I send it back to Sparky's, I'll ask him to do a similar mod. to dim those lights. -
I got mine from sparky's too and it is doing fine all but the bright led's. I had it on the dash but had to move it up top because of the brightness.

I just turn mine around at night and they think the cops are behind them and move out of the way
