I haul wood chips and we run heavy all the time. Every couple months we’ll get an overweight ticket, usually around $400, and we keep on. We pay for the ticket by running heavy in less than a week.

If you don't know a truck needs to stop at a scale, you need to find a new profession.
Its says ALL TRUCKS MUST STOP
That includes dump trucks, waste management company trucks, rented trucks, uhaul trucks, as well as tankers vans, flat beds and everything else considered a truck. The exception as California has clearly pointed out, is a pick up truck. Because it's not a truck it's a passenger utility vehicle.
(and for the haters... If your state lists your pick up as a truck... It's a simple ploy to charge you extra... It's NOT a truck)
