Anyone else seeing a slow down in freight? For the pass 2 weeks it’s been laid back here in the northwest area. Last night on my 3hr drive from Hermiston to Spokane I saw 7 other trucks only tagging a dolly behind a trailer.

    misterG Thanks this.

Busy as ever in my neck of the woods. I usually see more guys with one and a dolly when the weather is bad or forecast to be bad.

My TM is pushing start times to be later and doing a rebid for P&D runs. She blames it on freight not getting here earlier by LH, causing drivers to wait at the terminal on company dime. Some of the runs are getting pushed back by an hour and a half.

    Great. Time to slow down.

When the returns and missed pickups start piling up, somebody might start paying more attention to cut times.

Apparently it’s other terminals holding our drivers up. Our outbound shift is good about getting drivers out on time but when they roll back in the morning, some don’t arrive til 9-10am.

So what’s the new cpm and drop/hook/fuel pay with the raise? I think their task pay was lagging behind FxF, but the cpm has gotta be significantly higher now.

I didn't know they had fuel pay for the linehaul guys. I saw this at first and thought to myself that the raise seems good but they have OT after 60 hours, which is ####. Then I saw your message at the bottom, OT after 50. Nice. I don't know if I'll ever go back to LTL after trying it out but it's good to see the driver pay keep improving like that in the sector.

And speaking of which, I was searching the job boards today and came across an add for Saia. Overtime after 45 hours. I knew Southeastern was OT after 45, has Saia been OT after 45 for a while or is this something new for them?

    Radman and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
