They aren’t animals, they are just people looking for a better life. I don’t agree with the way they go about it, but I also can’t blame them either.

Congress should have addressed the legal immigration policies waaay before now. Like most everything in this country it comes down to money. For example, take Pedro and his wife and two kids from Mexico. Pedro is a hard worker, never been in trouble with the law, and wants a better life for his family here in the U.S., can't blame him now can you? Only problem is Pedro has very little money, no immigration lawyer to represent him, and no connections in the attache or in D.C. Thus, legal immigration is virtually nil. Even though Pedro would be self-supportive, work hard, and pay his taxes like the rest of us schlubs.

In contrast, discounting a country's yearly refugee quota or lottery, Pascal and his young family come from an influential family from France who just happen to be able to afford a very good immigration lawyer, along with having a connection at the French attache. Yeah, guess what, green card is no problem.

In so much as there's no excuse for illegal immigration, none, along with having open borders is just plain insanity, the blame lies solely with congress, both swamp parties share the blame. Here in the U.S., as in most, if not all, countries, if you have enough $$$, there's nothing you can't get, or get out of. The Good Book teaches that the love of money is the root of evil. That's all I have to say about that, carry on....

The problems related to any immigration reforms go very deep and are intertwined with a lot more than just who comes from where and why. No one really want to get into it, the changes to corporate law and tax code alone would take years to work through.

I mentioned Little Brother a few weeks ago. 28 yr old trucker, Good guy. He rides with me and my group. Straight laced, old fashioned country boy living in a city. Puts modern women on pedestals and gets ghosted and friends speeches all the time. Highly entertaining. He got pissed at me for saying that the biggest mistake that young guys make is that they are too eager to show the hand they were dealt.

“I don’t play games, Six! I am a straight shooter!”
    Okaaaay, Six back quiet.

Some cute little blonde flirted heavily and Little Brother was smitten. He asked her out to some sort of event 8/14 and she accepted. They got to talking about the gym and he offered to train her. They set a date for Wednesday at 5pm last week. He goes to the gym on time and she calls him sick. I see her at the pub on a date Wednesday night. Another female gets into his face and Little Brother is so worried about playing Blondie and hurting her.

What would you do? Would you tell him or keep quiet?
