They have a “Food Truck Court” in the place. The Mexican place has goat meat items. I have had the burrito a few times, pretty good. They also have decent showers.Dave_in_AZ, lovesthedrive, InTooDeep and 3 others Thank this.

The Wampus cat has 6 legs, but it walks on the back 4, the front two are for fighting.
So that isn't a Wampus cat.
Here is a statue of a Wampus Cat that sits out front of Conway High School in Arkansas:

I did a few localish power only loads leaving my trailer at my home base.
If an agent called me to haul a D & H, they could typically arrange for the customer to cross dock or stage product for a live load. My load alerts did not go off for D & H.
Did one that was near home.... drop on Friday then pick it up loaded on Monday morning.
Truck broke one time and another BCO delivered the load while I was down and brought the trailer back a couple of hours later.
Only place that asked me to drop the trailer and allow somebody else to use it was for Christmas trees going to Mexico. They wanted to use my trailer to take it across the boarder. I laughed at them and hung up, several times. Finally just blocked their number.
When I was running company van the quality of the trailers in the pool was poor. Most any time I hooked to a different trailer, I ended up taking a day or 2 down to get stuff fixed. Looks like they have updated the fleet since then (about 6 years ago), Hopefully things are better now.
Best choice may depend on the lanes you run. I typically only did 1 or 2 D & H per month. Most of the D & H I did was to get me out of a bad freight zone and was of marginal rate.
I think Dave has had a different experienceSpeed_Drums, lovesthedrive, Dale thompson and 2 others Thank this. -
So how does that work with insurance when another driver hooks up and drives with your trailer that you bought and paid for? Do you have to pay extra money to insurance each month to cover stuff like that and do you notify the insurance company which particular driver is driving your trailer? What if he wrecked the trailer and he was at fault, how does that work with insurance?
If you typically did 1 or 2 D & H per month, that was one of those situations like you described in your first two sentences (cross dock or stage product for a live lord or drop it off one day and pick it up the next day)? You weren't leaving your trailer somewhere that another random driver would just come along and get, right?LoSt_AgAiN, lovesthedrive and Dale thompson Thank this. -
Yesterday was a tedious day of orientation. Today I get to go load and shake down my assigned crapcadia. I’m suffering from new job jitters which seems strange to me because I’ve done this so many times.
