Been having issues last 2 months with NY steering just wandering like crazy.

To try and explain, truck will start wandering to the right. I try to correct by turning wheel to left. After a couple inches it will finally "catch" and steer back straight. Wanders left and right.

Just had 3 axle alignment done 3 weeks ago. Steer axle and front drive axle were off but did not fix issue. Just put new steers on 3 days ago and issue is still there. Tie rods are good as well. King pins too.

What else do I look at.

Wrong alignment should be a little off toe like 1 degree

Front Alignment needs to be toed in 1/16-1/8”.
If they gave you a printout you may see it on there. If it is toed out it will wonder, but most alignment shops will say “but it’s within spec “. No. It’s wrong.
Or yes, being 7 years old it could be loose components.

Right soo the wandering was happening before the 3 axle alignment and new steers. I figured the alignment would had fixed the issue but it didnt.

Look up videos by MD Alignment.
Most alignment shops use laser system that hasn’t been calibrated since it was installed new, operated by technicians that have one year of experience 18 times ( 18 years of experience but hadn’t learned a thing since the first year ) and set the alignment to be within manufacturers spec which is too wide of a variance. It has to be set bang on.
Most alignment shops don’t actually align it, they just check it and say “ close enough “.

I hate that you said it...but it's true! Not only for tractor/trailers, but just even pass-cars! And alignments aren't cheap!

I am having same issue with 15 cascadia. Check your tie rod and wheel bearing torque. Thats what I'm checking this week. Pitman arm, gearbox, steering column, torque arms, tires, new bushings, and king pins, multiple alignments not at truck stops. True alignment shops. So if u find the issue with yours before I get mine situated. I'll let you know
