What I don't understand is how some folks get poor service and me whose been with what is now VZ thru 3 changes since 1995, I dont' have those issues.
I've had a few issues but was always able to get them resolved as soon as I called in. They've always been helpful in giving more minutes on your plan just for asking. Of course now that I've got unlimited I don't care if I had an issue that resulted in needing the extra minutes in a month.
I've run into a lot of folks that say VZ's customer service sucks. It must be in how they hold their mouth and/or talk to the tech.
Cuz I don't have the same problem. Never have.

You know what it is Brick? It's just like folks that say Kenny's are better than Pete's and Freightliners are better than Volvos. Everyone has an opinion. I've had good luck with both. Verizon hasn't let me down regarding their wireless internet and AT&T has done me well with the iphone. I may someday switch it all to Verizon and go with a Droid and kiss the iphone good-bye. I don't think that will happen anytime REAL soon however...

I love a good brand war.
What I meant was how some folks customer service experience just blows and they hate VZ with all their might. When non of my experiences have ever been that bad. And I don't mean just this forum. I've run into very similar comments from other sites.
Its one of the world's greatest mysteries to me.

the ones that are complaining the most are the ones who can never be pleased no matter what is done for them.you just can't satisfy some people. the only time they are happy is when they have something to b$tch about.

I am one of those who isn't overly impressed with Verizons customer service. My very first bill from Verizon was screwed up. The last several years with Alltel I had to contact them exactly zero times to fix my bill. I don't want freebies, I don't care about getting extra minutes just for asking. What I want from Verizon is to be left the hell alone. I want my bill to always be correct, and I want a phone that works when I need it. If and when that happen, I will have no need to contact them, and that's what I consider excellent service.
On the up side, I did go into a Verizon store last weekend. They were extremely busy, but handled their customer traffic in a reasonable manner. When I was finally able to talk to a rep, she seemed fairly knowledgeable. Although I didnt get the answer I wanted to hear, I was steered in the direction of an acceptable alternative.pinballwizard Thanks this. -
The problem is in merging the customers from databases that are completely different. Its not an easy task. Believe me, I worked for a good portion of my IT career at a major telecomm and have had to do exactly that multiple times.
Also, on an Alltel note, I worked for Centurytel when we sold Alltel our wireless properties, and they have the WORST technicians I have ever met, and most of the people there were extremely rude.
I've worked with Verizon and always had good luck with them on a company end. -
Back to the original ? Yes verizon has the BEST 3g coverage out there. Yes there are some deadspots like the t/a west in ontario, ca due to the airport radio tower etc. Things do and will interfer with ur signal but still compared to other services and I've used just about all of them verizon is the best 3g internet.

Verizon represenative told me yesterday the 5g limit will be rescinded when the 3G upgrade is complete across the system. Do I believe him? .... Let me get back to you on that!
