I totally agree with you. It's just my opinion and not trying to bash you guys. If your happy with your Prostars then go for it. I would not buy one so I surely wouldn't lease one. I think it makes good business sense to have a truck good on fuel. However it makes better sense for JCT to lease you a truck that will be junk by the time it's paid for, Then you have to lease another one. Being that they purchased Peterbilt 386's for the company drivers say's a lot to me. And also posted that they are only buying Prostars now to lease out. JCT is not the company for me when they are promoting leasing to become a Owner Operator when they lease a company fleet truck.

Hey socal
I would have to dissagree with you. If the driver takes go care of his/her trk it doesn't matter what trk it is it'll last you forever til the engine needs a overhaul. I never said the 386 were just for comp drivers. They had about 50 of them and probably 5 otr comp drivers have them. The rest were leased out. To be honest those drivers HATE the truck. Its just another plastic trk. I always get a laugh out of ppl that claim petes r the best and will nvr drive anything else. After all its what's under the hood that matters. -

I disagree, sure the powertrain is a big issue but build quality is another. As far as the quality in to the build of the truck International is at the bottom. Everybody has there preference but when you get more than 5 experience in I am sure Internationals won't be your favorite.
By the way every Prostar in our fleet has had a problem with the ignition. When you turn the key it will not start try a few more times then it will crank but eventually it goes bad and will not start at all. It has nothing to do with the clutch it is the keyed ignition that goes out. -
Oh well I started driving a truck in 1991 and have just about driven them all. And I'm happy with the prostar that I am paying for and honestly don't care what anyone thinks about it. And I make good money doing what I love to boot....

You said in earlier post that yall had 08 prostars. That was the first year they came out with them. Of course the first generation always have its issues.

Our prostars are way better than that lol
No wonder u hate them
