Well, here’s one bit of encouragement.

Yellow jackets don’t have the venom toxicity of honeybees. Theirs is meant to be used against other insects, while honeybee venom is intended by nature for use against furry honey thieves.

My 185 and my sons xr200 I added 2 to the drive. World of difference. This 250 already from factory has a 54 tooth rear sprocket. Its humongous. I have a 13 tooth for the front on order.
The issue isn't so much low speed power, although I had to work the clutch more then I liked. The main difference is lack of low speed engine braking.
My 185 has had almost zero brakes for years. 1st gear is super low. You could idle it down a cliff.. This 250 you would die without brakes.

Have to admit that one of the funniest things I have ever watched was a tractor hit a skunk nest.
That operator was off the machine in a flash. Sat out in that field for weeks.

I probably shouldn't say it, but to my knowledge, I've never been stung by a honeybee. But bald faced hornets? I have a pretty severe reaction to their sting and every time has resulted in a trip to the ER. Not that I enjoyed this experience, but I'd rather have these yellowjacket stings than horse fly bites. I went back to ground zero to get my teetering equipment off the hill with a can of bug spray. The comb I unearthed is the size of a medium pizza and they're still going into a hole in the ground... Tomorrow is napalm day if a critter doesn't come along and eat the hive.
