Hi
broker to carrier spot says $4.02 rate says $3,000
4.02 times 793 miles is $3187 plus change.
why aren't they the same? others don't match either?

Just because DAT says that’s the average, doesn’t mean that’s what you get. What did negotiate with them?
Maybe I’m confused what you’re talking about.ProfessionalNoticer, Roger McG, p608 and 1 other person Thank this. -
i am trying to learn how to establish a rate to get my material moved south to northeast.
the material is already being moved, we hope we can do a few of the loads better.
i need to learn how to establish a rate to keep a couple owner operators interested in moving my freight.
i am actively looking for loads going south to pair up with my loads coming north. -
Are you a broker, or a shipper?Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

Hi
we are a private carrier in new england delivering plants. applied for mc # last week. i am trying to do my homework so i get started on the right foot. -
Nursery loads are 1 way empty for several reasons; I expect you’ll find that the loads you find going south will be rated quite poorly, and generally make for a lot more work for a nursery trailer.
If 793 miles at $4k is what you’ve been paying to get loads into Sudbury/ you’ve been getting a price fairer than most, by a lot.ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -
nursery and stone (flatbed) material is a future project. we are interested in hauling reefer loads both ways.
we already have the loads coming north. need to find loads going south. and owner operators who want to work with us. -
Why not ask said Carriers what they need?

not sure i understand?
