I have been a local driver for Arrow in Houston for over a year and a half. Things were bad since David left and too all the work with him, this time last year. But to see "the writing on the wall" about a total closure of the company, I did not see it. Matter of fact, I do not believe thre were too many people who could actually say they thought this would happen. I did not love working here, but it was a job that allowed me to be with my family and still make descent money. It is a sad day for me, having to tell my 4 kids and wife, just a couple days before Christmas, that I do not have a job.
So instead of poking fun at Arrow and the downfall of a "bottom feader company", Lets pray for the drivers that are stuck miles from home, and pray for the families that depend on that driver that no longer has a job. You do not know my circumstance or the situation of all the other drivers and employees that may have trouble finding a job at this particular time of year.
In closing, my heart goes out to everyone this has affected. To all my fellow drivers, good luck and I wish you well

I am not poking fun at them. I have been in their shoes. I have had a company truck repo'd from the yard within hours of my parking it with all of my stuff removed and placed in an open area for other drivers to sift through.
I no longer trust any company and watch for the signs. -
Well said Hillbilly....I concur....
I also had a truck repo'd--while I was sleeping in it !!!!!!! Sucked to be me that night...Last edited by a moderator: Dec 22, 2009

Arrow Trucking reportedly closes its doors, leaving drivers stranded
LavenderTrucker and jtrnr1951 Thank this. -
I believe if I had enough money for fuel, I would drive the truck home, or to a terminial close to home, before being thrown out at a truckstop.

May not be a wise move.
Does the company have authority after the closure?
What about insurance? -
Arrow Trkg. was the first co. I ever drove for and was proud to be a driver for the "old man" however, when the son took over we quickly learned the apple did fall far from the tree. This is a sad day for the trkg. industry to see such a legacy co. go under. My best wishes and prayers go out to all employees involved (except Doug) and I know that you will all bounce back from this and in hopefully a better place.
LavenderTrucker Thanks this. -
Most states plates are due by the end of March or even Jan.
It would not be too much to ask to get the drivers home for Christmas. -
I'm pretty sure that hell has a special place for scum bag company owners like this.
Karma is a real witch. What goes around comes around. One day these POS will get theirs. -
Here is a updated link for stranded drivers>> Daimler Financial offering bus ticket or cash to Arrow drivers with Freightliner tractors
