Sleep seating is not that bad really, i`m on a 6-2 schedule with 4 drivers and 3 trucks. All trucks are Immaculate when i return to work. Management at our DC inspects every truck before the next driver gets into it. Me and the other 3 drivers keep our trucks spotless inside & out.

"Micro management" is just a phrase for lazy people say because they don`t want to follow the rules & guidelines.

    A million times this.

I've often wondered that if the US had required military service, if people would complain about as much trivial things as they complain about now. Spend more than a minute in the military, and you'll truly learn what micromanaging means.

I got the scoop on the D.C.in Lakeland. It’s a dot com warehouse Brooksville is now running 21 trucks out of there and they just opened it up for transfer to Alachua and Ft Pierce.

    Exit310 Thanks this.

I'm really new here out of Mebane. I don't feel they micromanage much. But I'm a military guy who actually WAS micromanaged at some point. WMT has a lot of rules for sure. And a ridiculously thorough onboarding process. But that's not micromanagement.

Micromanaged, Triggered, Overworked, Underpaid, etc, etc, all those terms are used by drivers that can't handle the job. My terminal's best drivers don't complain, don't gossip, don't waste time, they just get it done and cash the big money, we know who is who here.

$104,000.00 during the first year running meat and produce throughout New England. Treated with respect and fair. Great atmosphere; no pressure. Fantastic bonuses. Shop personnel are very courteous and helpful.

Uh, 25 days of paid vacation per year...(ask me what my vacation pay is).

This is by far, the best company in the U.S. today. Anyone who is willing take 10s of thousands of dollars less per year just because they have to clean they're truck weekly and have to slip seat are not thinking correctly. It IS about the money. You make as much as possible while not home so that you can have a good home with great things.

Oh, and yes, we wear a uniform. Maybe all drivers should. Then perhaps we will begin getting more respect from John Q Public.
Clean your act up and stop looking like a slob or someone from the ghetto. Have some self respect.
Thank you, Walmart Transportation for giving me the chance to feel proud that I am a professional driver.
