Why do newbies get the boot?

    It was because I had both that disqualified me. If I had one or the other, I would have probably been able to continue. It is likely that the apparent diabetes I have is what's causing the high blood pressure. No health insurance atm means no real doctor's visit to get it checked out. They informed me at the school that I could likely get medication for both for little money or for free though. However, I'm considering this a blessing in disguise I guess. I wasn't sure if doing OTR was for me, and I'm still not sure. I basically took the opportunity because of how long I've been unemployed and how difficult it has been here in Michigan to find a half-decent job.

    If you haven't done this already, you might check out this site: http://www.fcomi.org/ (free clinics of michigan). Whatever you do, get your HBP and diabetes stabilized!!!!!!! Both are scary conditions and your kidneys are prime targets. Do whatever it takes (free clinics, public hospitals, churches, civic groups, whatever). You are a sitting duck for more problems. Get PROACTIVE!!
