    And may I ask why do you need a station like this, what exactly are you trying to receive with a antenna of this magnitude are you receiving or sending signals out to exterterstrial aliens or receiving signals from space on some secret military project please explain to me and others what your primary goals are or mission is with this station you have here, Thanks

    My local radio club has them once in awhile. They use a low power VHF transmitter to send out a morse code signal every 5 minutes or so. The last one I was on, I was just using my small Icom IC-V8 handheld radio. I was the first to get to the Fox. I would use my body as a reflector, and that gave me a good idea which direction to go. It was held in a park, and I was the first person to zero in on the Fox. When the signal got too strong to tell which direction to go, I just removed the rubber BNC antenna and the farther I moved the antenna away from the radio (with the strongest signal reading), I knew I was close to it. The only problem was I couldn't see the small 19 inch antenna and transmitter hidden behind a bush. I was within 10 feet of the Fox, but I couldn't pin it down. Then some other guys with their handheld yagi antennas were able to zero in on it. They were amazed that I had beat them to the area the Fox was hidden, since I was only using my handheld radio. Fox hunts can
    lots of fun. Same in the CB club fox hunts, or what ever name the club uses. Just good people having a good time together, thanks to radio.

    I agree they can be a blast. You can build a yagi out of a broom stick and a few pieces of hangers

    I know this is really really old and you're probably not active on the forum anymore, but this is also not true. While he has a right to the frequency, he does not have a right to cause interference on the frequency. He is in violation of 47 CFR Subpart D Part 95.333 (d) "Prohibited CBRS uses" --to intentionally interfere with the communication of another station.

    eCFR :: 47 CFR 95.333 -- Prohibited uses.

    95.933 refers back to 95.333 as prohibited uses of CB.

    It's really amazing how many people think it's legal to cause interference with other stations on CB. Its not. Its against the law.

    Doesn't have to be the companies frequency. It's a violation of FCC law that he interferes intentionally with another station.

    eCFR :: 47 CFR Part 95 Subpart D -- CB Radio Service

    CFR 95.933(b)Prohibited Uses

    (b) To advertise or solicit the sale of any goods or services
